Found Friday Vol 74
Found FridaysAfter a brief hiatus last week, we’re back with Vol 74 of Found Fridays. This week’s web finds include: GridBooks for sketching out your wireframes; the A List Apart Web Design survey; a great plugin that will auto-load plugins when you set up WordPress; a dead-simple way to make HTML5 video & audio work cross-browser; and a secret passageway switch (it was too cool to not share).
GridBooks
Wireframing makes projects more efficient and makes me focus on content & usability. These GridBooks look to be a great tool for sketching out web design wireframes.
A List Apart – Web Design Survey 2011
Every year A List Apart has a survey with the intent to get a good look into the state of professional web design across the globe. If you consider yourself a professional web designer or developer, head on over and fill out the survey!
WP Install Profiles Plugin
We use a lot of the same WordPress plugins on every install; had I known about this awesome plugin earlier, which downloads a configurable group of plugins all at once, I would have minutes of my life back. Alas, I do not. But now I’ll be savoring the extra time this plugin saves me.
HTML5 Video & Audio
One line of code & your HTML5 video & audio will work in all major browsers. One word: nice.
Secret Passageway Switch
So, we have this room in our basement that is just asking for a secret bookshelf doorway (mainly due to where/how it’s situated). Then this awesome Secret Passageway Switch comes along. I think it’s a sign – I’ll be in my basement.
See you next week!
