Found Friday Vol 37
Found FridaysHi all, and welcome to the final Found Friday of 2010 – volume 37. We’ll be taking a couple of weeks off starting the end of next week, so this is the final instalment and it includes: a free Mac OS app for recovering accidentally deleted files, ugly sweater t-shirts, a list of awesome WordPress slider plug-ins, an article on developing business skills as a freelancer, and the best web apps of 2010. Read on!
Disk Drill
Most, if not all, of us have done it: accidentally deleted a file or two, or otherwise lost something on our hard-drive. Disk Drill is a free Mac OS app that recovers these lost files! (sorry Windows users… perhaps someone can post a Windows alternative in the comments?)
Ugly Sweater Tees
Ah, Christmas. ‘Tis the season to drink eggnog, give gifts, spend time with families…. and rock terribly ugly Christmas sweaters. These fine gents decided to go the extra mile and make ugly sweater t-shirts. Brilliant!
20+ Beautiful WordPress Slideshow Plugins
WordPress is popular. Sliders are popular. WordPress slider plugins? Pretty much the Fonz of the internet.
The Skills Necessary to Administer a Freelance Business
Designers largely go pursue the career because we love what we do. However, when it comes to freelancing there is a whole other side that comes into play: the business aspect. Learn what skills you need & how to get them in this article.
The Best Web Apps of 2010
An interesting, if loosely design-related read. There are some obvious ones in there (Facebook?) and some other gems that you may not have known about. Have a look!
Thanks all, and see you in 2011 for the continuation of Found Fridays!
